BearExtender connects to your Mac using a high speed USB 2.0 interface. Works with older Macs that have USB 1.1 as well.
How it Works
BearExtender achieves long range Wi-Fi performance through an external antenna, a high sensitivity receiver and a powerful 802.11n standard Wi-Fi transmitter.
First, the upgradable external antenna design minimizes interference while increasing the antenna gain.
Next, BearExtender's award winning receiver is built using proprietary Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) for superior power amplification. This allows BearExtender to scan and boost faint incoming Wi-Fi signals.
Finally, BearExtender Mini is built with a powerful 1000mW Wi-Fi transmitter, to communicate with a router, access point or base station at long distances.
No Internal AirPort Card Required
BearExtender Mini contains both a transmitter and receiver, so no internal AirPort card is required. Perfect if your aging internal AirPort card has become defective.
