How it Works


BearExtender achieves long range Wi-Fi performance through an external antenna, a high sensitivity receiver and a powerful Wi-Fi transmitter. 

First, the upgradable external antenna design minimizes interference while increasing the antenna gain.

Next, BearExtender's award winning receiver is built using proprietary Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) for superior power amplification. This allows BearExtender to boost faint incoming Wi-Fi signals.

Finally, each BearExtender is built with a powerful 700mW Wi-Fi transmitter, to communicate with a router, access point or base station at long distances.

BearExtender connects to your Mac using a high speed USB 2.0 interface. Works with older Macs that have USB 1.1 also.
 

Great Mac Antenna older PowerMac G5 and Mac Pro models

BearExtender is also a great Mac antenna for older PowerMac G5 and Mac Pro systems that required a small external "T-Shaped" AirPort Antenna.
